Editorial
We are very excited and happy to announce that “Turkish Journal of Sensors and Biosensors” has been launched recently as a new international, open access and multidisciplinary journal on DergiPark platform under the roof of The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye (TÜBİTAK)! This new journal is owned and supported by Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University, and is currently open for submissions!
With this journal, we aim to publish high-quality peer-reviewed papers in all areas of sensor research, with a particular focus on biosensors. Our broad scope ensures that studies published in this journal reach the widest possible audience. Areas covered in this journal include, but are not limited to, the development of chemical sensors and biosensors, physical sensors (optical, thermal, magnetic, mechanical, etc.), gas sensors, medical sensors, electrochemical sensors and biosensors (voltammetric, potentiometric, amperometric, etc.), nano-sensors and biosensors, paper-based sensors and biosensors, fabrication technology of chemical sensors and biosensors, production of novel sensor materials, biomaterials, cell chips, microfluidic devices, sensor technology and applications, 3D sensing, wearable sensors and biosensors, advanced materials for sensors and biosensors and biomedical sensors.
This journal places its highest priority on fair and rapid peer review process and fast publication following acceptance in “early access” format. Decisions on whether to send a manuscript out for peer review will be normally made within two working days of receipt, by the journal editors, and decisions about publication will be typically made within two days of receipt of the reviewer reports. All editorial decisions will be made by a team of professional scientific editors working on different areas of sensor research. All papers accepted for the publication in the journal will be published open access and online-only with no cost to the authors.
We aim to serve as the major conduit of top-quality research for the international sensor community. As a new journal, we are also very determined to be qualified to be abstracted and indexed in many platforms including Scopus in near future.
We kindly invite all researchers working on sensors and biosensors to contribute to our journal! We also would like to invite interdisciplinary sensor researchers to join the editorial board of the journal. We are looking forward to work with you!
You can also follow us on X (@Turkish_JSB) for the latest journal updates (including our first issue) and to see what the journal is up to! If you have any questions, we will be very happy to help you!
