THE EFFECTS OF EARLY MALADAPTIVE SCHEMAS AMONG UNIVERSITY STUDENTS ON THOUGHT-ACTION FUSION

Abstract

In
this study, the influence of the early
maladaptive schemas of university
students on the thought
-action
fusion

was examined. The study was conducted with 381 university students studying in
Gaziantep in the academic year of 2017-2018. Young Schema Scale Short Form-3(YSS)
and the Thought-Action Fusion Scale (TAFS), were administered to the students.
Regression Analysis and Pearson Product-Moment Correlation was used as
statistical method.
The results of Regression
Analysis reveal that
emotional
deprivation, failure, vulnerability to harm and unrelenting standards
variables
affect the
thought-action
fusion
.
The results of the research reveal that early maladaptive schemas in university
students have an effect on the
thought-action fusion.
Explain
29% of the total variance in the of thought-action fusion is explained by early
maladaptive schemas
.

ÜNİVERSİTE ÖĞRENCİLERİNDE ERKEN DÖNEM UYUMSUZ ŞEMALARIN DÜŞÜNCE EYLEM KAYNAŞMASINA ETKİSİ

Abstract

Bu araştırmada üniversite öğrencilerinin erken dönem uyumsuz şemalarının düşünce eylem kaynaşmasına etkisi incelenmiştir. Çalışma 2017-2018 eğitim öğretim yılında Gaziantep’te öğrenim gören 381 üniversite öğrencisiyle yapılmıştır. Öğrencilere Young Şema Ölçeği Kısa Form-3(YŞÖ) ve Düşünce Eylem Kaynaşması Ölçeği(DEKÖ) uygulanmıştır. İstatistiksel yöntem olarak Regresyon Analizi ve Pearson Momentler Çarpımı Korelasyon Katsayısı kullanılmıştır. Regresyon Analizi sonuçları duygusal yoksunluk, başarısızlık, tehditler karşısında dayanıksızlık ve yüksek standartlar değişkenlerinin düşünce eylem kaynaşmasına etki ettiğini ortaya koymaktadır. Araştırmanın sonuçları üniversite öğrencilerinde erken dönem uyumsuz şemaların düşünce eylem kaynaşmasına etki ettiğini ortaya koymaktadır. Düşünce eylem kaynaşmasındaki toplam varyansın %29’u erken dönem uyumsuz şemalar tarafından açıklanmaktadır.
