A Survey on Students of Department of Information Management at Hacettepe University
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to survey computer skills, foreign language skills, researchskills,informationseekingpurposesandinformationuseofundergraduate students of the Department of Information Management at Hacettepe University. Students'opinions aboutDepartment and organizationstheywish towork for after graduation are also explored. A questionnaire is compiled and 259 studentsfilled out the questionnaire. Data collected through the survey is evaluated by PASW. Findings are expected to contribute to short- and long-term planning efforts and to the adjustment of the programme according to students' knowledge, skills and needs.
