Abstract
The editorial of the present issue is devoted to the former chair of the Turkish Librarians' Association Professor Dr. Necmeddin Sefercioğlu (1931-2019) who held this position for the longest period of time so far. The volume pays tribute to his memory with various texts of professional and personal appraisals written by his former colleagues and students.
