Abstract
19. yüzyılda yaşanan siyasi, askeri, ekonomik ve sosyal gelişmeler tüm Anadolucoğrafyasını olduğu gibi Ordu yöresini de derinden etkilemiştir. Osmanlı-Rus savaşları ve Rusya’nın Kafkaslarda uyguladığı göç politikası yüz binlerceinsanı yurtlarını terk ederek Anadolu’ya göçe zorlamıştır. Zorunlu göçe tabitutulan bu insanlar bilmedikleri bu coğrafyada büyük sıkıntılar yaşadılar. Diğertaraftan göçmenlere kucak açan yerli ahali de bu durumdan olumsuz etkilendi.Bölgede yaşanan göç hareketleri Kafkaslardan bölgeye yapılan göçler, bölgeden gayrimüslimler başta olmak üzere yurt dışına yapılan göçler ve Batı Anadolu’yayapılan göçler olmak üzere üç farklı yönde gelişti. Yöreye gelen göçmenleryerli halkla kaynaşarak günümüz Ordu ilinin sosyal yapısının şekillenmesindeönemli bir unsuru oluşturdu. Çalışmada 1877-78 Osmanlı-Rus Savaşı ile I.Dünya Savaşı arasındaki dönemde bölgede yaşanan göç hareketlerinin Orduilinin sosyal ve demografik yapısı üzerindeki etkileri incelenecektir.
Abstract
Political, military, economic and social developments in the 19th Centuryinfluenced all the Anatolian geography as well as the Ordu area. The Ottoman-Russia wars and the emigration policy Russia deployed in the Caucasia compelledthousands of people to abandon their own main lands. Those who were compelled toimmigrate to this unknown geography experienced lots of problems. On the otherhand, the locals, who welcomed the immigrants, were also negatively affected. Theimmigration movements in the region took place in two different ways; one from theCaucasia towards the region and the other from the region mainly non-muslims towards abroad. The immigration movements of this period played an important rolein shaping the social structure of today’s Ordu province. In this study, the effect ofimmigration movements in the region during the period between 1877-78 OttomanRussia Wars and World War I on the social and demographic structure of the region.
