Abstract
Hadım Hafız Ahmed Paşa Arnavut kökenli olup Enderun’da yetişmiş ve üst düzeydevlet görevlerinde bulunmuştur. 1604 yılında ikinci kez getirildiği sadaret kaymakamlığındanazledildikten birkaç yıl sonra hacca gitmiş ve devlet hizmetinden ayrılmıştır.1613 yılında İstanbul’da vefat eden paşa Mısır, Kıbrıs, Rodos, Bosna, İlbasan,Prevadi, Hamid, Mihaliç, Bursa, Üsküdar, Galata ve İstanbul’da vakıflarkurmuş, 1014 1605-1606 yılında tescil edilen vakfiyesinde vakıf eserler, bu kurumlardaistihdam edilecekler, alacakları ücretler, vakfettiği akârat, buralardan eldeedilecek gelirin kullanılacağı yerler hakkında ayrıntılı bilgiler vermiştir. ÖzellikleMısır’daki vakıfları Hac yolundaki yolcuların ihtiyaçlarını karşılamaya yönelik birduyarlılık göstergesidir. Vâkıf, Mekke yolunda hacılara su verilmesi ve bu amaçlaaçtırdığı su kuyularının temiz tutulmasını şart koştuğu vakfiyesinde çeşitli yerlerdekizaviyelere ve buralarda bulunan görevlilere de kaynak sağlamıştır. Böylece bölgedetesis ettiği su hayratının yanında dini kurumların hizmetlerinin devamına da katkıdabulunmuştur.Bu çalışmada; Hafız Ahmed Paşa’nın vakfiyesi ile çeşitli tasniflerdeki defter ve belgelerdenoluşan arşiv malzemesi esas alınarak Mısır’da; Bulak, Han-ı Halil, Reşid,Ariş ve diğer bölgelerde bulunan vakıfları hakkında bilgi verilmiştir. Bu kurumlarınhizmetlerini sürdürebilmesi için vakfedilen gayrimenkullerden söz edilerek elde edilengelirlerin kullanılması ile ilgili veriler değerlendirilmiştir.

Abstract
Hadım Hafız Ahmed Pasha, originally of Albanian descent, has been brought upin Ottoman Palace and occupied high rank official posts. Soon after the dismissalfrom the prefecture of Grand Vizirate Sadaret Kaymakamlığı , a post of secondtenure, in 1604, he made a sacred visit to Qa’be and resigned from his office. Hedied in 1613 in İstanbul. He is known to have founded several religious foundationsin Egypt, Cyprus, Rhodes, Bosnia, Elbasan, Prevadi, Hamid, Mikhaliç, Brusa,Scutari, Galata and İstanbul. In one of the charters of his waqfs dated back to 1014A. H. 1605-1606 , he provides detailed information about the waqf institutions,the stuff to be imployed therein, the wages to be paid, the sources of income endowedas a waqf property and the sectors of expenditure. His waqfs in Egypt, in particular,are a sign of the sensitivity to meeting the needs of the pilgrims. In the charter of thewaqf, he as endower instructs that the pilgims should be served water and the waterwells should be kept clean. But the waqf should also transfer some portion of itsincome to other charitable lodges and the stuff emloyed therein. Thus he managed tocontribute both to the supply of water in the region and the continuity of the servicesof religious institutions.This research, basing on waqf charters and the archival material consisting ofvarious book and document collections, tells about the waqfs in Bulak, Han-ı Halil,Reşid, Aris and other areas of Egypt. It also deals with the landed and real property,which is endowed as a waqf and essential for the continuation of the services, andevaluates the data on the uses of the waqf income.
