SANTRAL NÖROSİTOMA: VAKA TAKDİMİ

Abstract

Ventrikül içi tümörler tüm intrakranial tümörlerin %2.5-5’ini oluşturur ve çoğunlukla epan-dim ve koroid pleksustan, nadiren nöronal hücrelerden köken alır. Nörositoma, periventriküler germinal matriksteki nöronal hücrelerden köken alan histopatolojik olarak benign bir tümördür. Genellikle foramen Monroe çevresinde yerleşir ve genç erişkinlerde çoğunlukla tıkayıcı hidrosefali bulguları ile ortaya çıkarlar. Benign biyolojik davranışa sahip olan santral nörositomanın cerrahi olarak tam çıkarılması ile iyi prognoz elde edilmektedir. Histopatolojik tanıda epandimom ile oligodendrogliomdan immünohistokimyasal ve ultrastrüktürel incelemelerle ayrılır. Kliniğimizde intraventriküler santral nörositom tanısı alan ve cerrahi olarak tümörü tamamen çıkarılan bir olguyu literatürü gözden geçirerek sunuyoruz. CENTRAL NEUROCYTOMA: CASE REPORT

Abstract

Intraventriculer tumours account %2.5-5 of all intracranial tumours and generally originate from ependyma, choroid plexus and rarely from neuronal cells. Neurocytoma is a tumor that originates from neuronal precursors in the periventricular germinal matrix and benign as histopathological. Commonly, it is situated around the foramen of Monroe and is seen in young adults with obstructive hydrocephalus symptoms. This tumor which is rarely seen and which has good biological behaviour, has a good prognosis after total (or gross total) resection by surgery. In the histopathological diagnosis, it differs from ependymomas and oligodendrogliomas by further immunohistochemical and ultrastructural investigations. We present an intraventricular central neurocytoma that was evacuated gross totally by surgery.
