ELASTOFİBROMA DORSİ; FDG-PET/BT BULGULARI

Abstract

FDG PET/BT onkolojide yaygın olarak kullanılan önemli bir tüm vücut görüntüleme yöntemidir. Fizyolojik tutulumlar ve benign patolojiler gibi yanlış pozitifliklerin bilinmesi değerlendirmede önem taşımaktadır. Elastofibroma dorsi fibröz doku prolife-rasyonu ve elastin birikimi ile karakterize benign bir psödotümördür. Bu olgu sunumunda anal kanser tanılı bir hastada evreleme amacıyla yapılan PET/BT görüntülemede hipermetabolik olması nedeniyle yanlış pozitif değerlendirmeye neden olabilecek elastofibroma insidental olarak saptanmış ve bulgular sunulmuştur. ELASTOFIBROMA DORSI; FDG-PET/CT FINDINGS

Abstract

FDG PET/CT is an important whole-body imaging tool and widely used in oncology. It is important to know the false positive findings such as physiologic and benign conditions. Elastofibroma dorsi is a benign pseudotumor which is slow-growing and is characterized by fibrous tissue proliferation with elastin. In this case report, we present an incidentally detected elastofibroma as a benign hypermetabolic lesion in a case with anal cancer who was referred to PET/CT for staging.
