Birmingham mid-head kalça yüzey değiştirme Artroplastisi’nde tekniğimiz, tecrübemiz ve Erken dönem sonuçlarımız.

Year 2011, Volume: 5 Issue: 2, 50 - 54, 28.08.2011

Abstract

Buna göre; altı hastada mükemmel sonuç alınırken, on hastada iyi sonuç elde edildi. Kısa dönemdeki
yüksek başarı oranları nedeniyle son evre osteoartrit tanısı olan genç hastalarda BMHR tercih edilebilir.

Abstract
In this study, we aimed to show the clinical and radiologic results of Birmingham Mid-Head Resurfacing (BMHR) arthroplasty as a new surgical option in total hip arthroplasty with its
advantages to the patient. Sixteen cases of BMHR performed patients with secondary coxarthrosis due to labral pathology and osteonecrosis between June 2009 and January 2012
were evaluated retrospectively. Thirteen patients were male and three were women. Mean age was 40 (28-47) and mean follow-up period was twenty months (6-30). Results were
evaluated clinically and radiologically. In three (18%) patients, femoral component malposition was detected particularly in initial period cases. Acetabular component position was acceptable in all patients. Results were excellent in six patients and good in ten patients. Mean Harris Hip Score was found as good with a score of 87 (81-92). In young patients with end stage osteoarthritis BMHR may be preferred as it has successfull short term results.
