SYNOVIAL HAEMANGIOMA ORIGINATING FROM THE TENDON SHEATH OF HAND FINGER

Year 2010, Volume: 4 Issue: 2, 33 - 35, 25.07.2010

Abstract

Synovial haemangiomas are benign vascular lesions that originate from any synovial tissue which may behave like locally agressive. Synovial haemangioma from the tendon sheath of the hand finger is extremely rare. We report a 17 year-old woman applied for a mass on her left third finger, above the extensor tendon. Her USG was reported as giant cell tumor. After excision, the histopathologic analysis demonstrated tenosynovial haemangioma. The rare causes of finger masses should be considered also during the differential diagnosis. Local invasions may be prevented by early surgical treatment. Synovial haemangiomas treated with early surgical excision do not recur.

EL PARMAĞINDA TENDON KILIFINDAN KÖKEN ALAN SİNOVYAL HEMANJİOM

Year 2010, Volume: 4 Issue: 2, 33 - 35, 25.07.2010

Abstract

Sİnovyal hemanjiom, sinovya dokusundan köken alan, zaman zaman lokal agresif davra-nabilen, benin, vasküler tümörlerdir. El parmağında tendon kılıfından köken alan sinovyal heman-giom, oldukça nadir görülür. Sol el 3. parmak ekstansör tendon üzerinde kitle sebebiyle başvuran 17 yaşındaki bayan hastayı sunduk. Yapılan USG’de dev hücreli tümör olarak rapor edilen kitlenin, eksizyon sonrası histopatolojik incelemesinde tenosinovyal hemanjiom tespit edildi. Parmakta kitle ile gelen hastalarda nadir gözüken sebepler de ayırıcı tanıda düşünülmeli, erken cerrahi sonrası lokal invazyonlar engellenmelidir. Erken dönemde cerrahi olarak tamamen temizlenen sinovyal hemanjiomlar tekrarlamaz.
