CASE OF A COMPLEX REGIONAL PAIN SYNDROME AFTER CATHETER IMPLEMENTATION

Year 2015, Volume: 7 Issue: 1, 26 - 29, 22.03.2015

Abstract

Complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS) type I is a syndrome characterized with burning pain in the extremity, edema, vasomotor and sudomotor changes, and trophic disorders. The pathogenesis of the disease has not clearly explained; however, it is thought to be dependent on the abnormal activity of the sympathetic nervous system. With the aid of the increasing number of researches, more diagnosis and treatment opportunities could be found. In this case report, we have presented a case who has been consulted us about the swelling and pain in the extremity after intravenous catheterization in the hospital and has been diagnosed as CRPS type I.

KATATER UYGULAMASI SONRASI GELİŞEN BİR KOMPLEKS BÖLGESEL AĞRI SENDROMU OLGUSU

Year 2015, Volume: 7 Issue: 1, 26 - 29, 22.03.2015

Abstract

Kompleks bölgesel ağrı sendromu (KBAS) tip I ekstremitede yanıcı tarzda ağrı, ödem, vazomotor ve sudomotor değişiklikler ve trofik bozukluklarla karakterize bir sendromdur. Hastalık patogenezi hala net olarak açıklanamamış olmakla birlikte, sempatik sinir sisteminin anormal aktivitesine bağlı olduğu düşünülmektedir. Üzerinde yapılan araştırmalar arttıkça daha fazla tanı konulup tedavi edilme olanağı bulmaktadır. Biz bu yazımızda polikliniğimize konsulte edilen hastane ortamında sıkça başvurduğumuz damar yolu açma işlemi sonrası aynı ekstremitesinde şişlik, ağrı gelişen ve tarafımızca KBAS tip I tanısı konularak takip edilen bir olguyu sunmaktayız.
