HE USE OF 30 FR SHEET WİTH FIXING SILK SUTURE IN CYSTOLITHOTRIPSY

Year 2015, Volume: 7 Issue: 1, 147 - 150, 22.03.2015

Abstract

Urinary bladder is the most common location of the lower urinary tract stones. Endoscopic treatments are widely used for bladder stones. In order to prevent urethral injury and bleeding, amplatz sheeth is placed transurethrally during cystolithotripsy performed by using a nephroscope. After fragmentation of the stones, multiple access into the bladder may be needed which may cause the migration of the sheeth into the bladder. We present a case report of a patient with bladder multiple stones, treated endoscopically, by placing an amplatz sheeth transureth-rally, fixed to the sterile surgical cover with a silk suture in order to avoid the migration of the sheeth in to the bladder.
