Abstract

Sowers ve Toensing’in Mısır konusunda Middle East Report’da yayınlanan çeşitli makaleleri bir araya getirdikleri bu kitap, 25 Ocak devrimini, mdevrim öncesi ve sonrasındaki gelişmeleri, Mısır’ın siyasal, sosyokültürel mve ekonomik hayatındaki eğilimlerden ayaklanmaya katılan aktivistlerin mtecrübelerine kadar uzanan süreci geniş bir bağlamda ele alarak kapsamlı
bir şekilde açıklamaktadır. Beş ana bölümden oluşan kitabın ilk bölümündeki makaleler 25 Ocak ayıklanmasının devam eden siyasi ve ekonomik etkilerini tartışmaktadır. İkinci bölümdeki makaleler, 2000’li yıllardan itibaren şiddetlenerek artan sokak protestolarını 25 Ocak ayaklanmaları bağlamına yerleştirerek açıklamaktadır
