Hemşirelik ve Önlisans Sağlık Öğrencilerinin Pandemi Sürecindeki Eğitim ve Uzaktan Eğitim Hakkında Görüş ve Düşüncelerinin Araştırılması

Abstract

Amaç: Çalışmada hemşirelik ve önlisans eğitim alan sağlık öğrencilerinin pandemi sürecindeki eğitim ve uzaktan eğitim hakkında görüş ve düşüncelerinin araştırılması amaçlandı.
Yöntem: Çalışma, 1-30 Nisan 2021 tarihleri arasında yürütüldü. Veriler, araştırmacılar tarafından oluşturulmuş toplam 21 soruluk anket formu kullanılarak toplandı. Anket formu online olarak katılımcılara iletildi. Verilerin değerlendirilmesinde, Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) 20.0 kullanıldı. Tanımlayıcı istatistikler (sıklık ve çapraz tablolama) oluşturuldu. Çeşitli grupları karşılaştırmak için ki-kare (χ2) testi kullanıldı. Testlerde p≤0.05 değeri istatistiksel olarak anlamlı kabul edildi.
Bulgular: Çalışmada, katılımcıların yaş ortalaması 21 yıl olarak tespit edildi. Toplam 604 gönüllü öğrencinin katıldığı çalışmada, katılımcıların, %81,1’i (490) kadın cinsiyette idi. Çalışmaya katılanların %34,4 ’ü birinci yıl öğrencisi idi. Öğrencilerin 403 tanesi, (%66,7) ‘Sizce uzaktan eğitim yeterli mi?’ sorusuna 5 puan ve altı puan verdi. Öğrencilerin 217’ si (%35,9) uzaktan eğitim verilmesini, 363 öğrenci (%36,1) online sınav olmak istediklerini, 252 öğrenci (%41,7) online sınavların bilgi düzeyini ölçmede yeterli olmadığını bildirdi. Katılımcılardan 231 (%38,2) öğrenci aşı olduktan sonra eğitime yüz yüze devam etmek istediğini bildirdi.
Sonuç: Öğrencilerin çoğunluğunun COVİD 19 aşısı olduktan sonra eğitimlerine yüz yüze devam etmek istedikleri, uzaktan eğitimi ve uzaktan sınavları yeterli bulmadıkları saptandı.

Researching the Opinions and Thoughts of Nursing and Associate Health Students on Education and Distance Education During the Course of Pandemic

Abstract

Purpose: The aim of the study was to investigate the opinions and thoughts of nursing and associate degree health students about education and distance education during the course of pandemic.
Methods: The study was conducted between 1 and 30 April 2021. Data were collected using a 21-item questionnaire created by the researchers. The questionnaire form was shared with the participants online. Social Science Statistical Package (SPSS) 20.0 was used to evaluate the data. Descriptive statistics (frequency and cross-tabulation) were calculated. The Chi-squared test (χ2) was used to compare the various groups. Value of p ≤0.05 was considered statistically significant in the tests.
Results: In the study, it was determined that the average age of the participants was 21. In the study in which 604 volunteer students participated, 81.1% (490) of the participants were female. 34.4% of the participants in the study were first-year students. 403 of the students (66.7%) gave 5 points or less to the question "Do you think distance education is sufficient?". 217 of the students (35.9%) stated that they wanted to have distance education, 363 of students (36.1%) wanted to take an online exam, 252 of students (41.7%) stated that online exams were not enough to measure their knowledge level. Of the participants, 231 (38.2%) students stated that they wanted to continue their education face-to-face after being vaccinated.
Conclusion: It was determined that the majority of the students wanted to continue their education face-to-face after receiving the COVID 19 vaccine, and they did not find distance education and distance exams sufficient.
