YAPAY ZEKÂ VE GAZETECİLİKTE VERİMLİLİĞİN İNCELENMESİ

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, yapay zekâ, gazetecilik ve iletişimdeki dijital dönüşümün verimliliğe etkilerini incelemek ve bu alanlardaki yenilikler ve değişimleri ele almak amaçlanmıştır. Yapay zekâ uygulamalarının gazetecilikteki verimliliğinin incelenmesinde, haber ve medya ortamları açısından içerik analizi yöntemi ve insan performans teknolojisi yönteminden faydalanılmıştır. Örneklem olarak yapay zekâ uygulamalarını haber üretim süreçlerinde kullanan medya grupları ve araştırma raporları verileri incelenmiştir. Çalışmada değerlendirilen raporlar, yapay zekâ ve otomasyonun toplum, işgücü piyasası ve medya sektörü üzerindeki etkilerini değerlendirirken, bu teknolojilerin verimlilik üzerindeki etkilerini de vurgulamaktadır. İnsanların yapay zekâya genel olarak olumlu bakış açısına sahip olduğu görülmekle birlikte sağlık, eğitim ve ulaşım gibi alanlarda beklenen kolaylıkların yanı sıra işgücü verimliliği üzerinde olumlu etkileri bulunacağı konusunda hemfikir oldukları görülmüştür. İşlerin otomatikleştirilmesinin işsizlik riski yaratabileceği düşünüldüğünde, yapay zekânın işgücü piyasası üzerindeki potansiyel etkileri konusunda endişeler de bulunmaktadır. Medya ve gazetecilik sektöründe, yapay zekâ kullanımının verimliliği artırabileceği ve haber üretimi, dağıtımı ve doğrulanması gibi süreçlerde önemli değişiklikler getirebileceği görülmektedir. Yapay zekâ ve kullanıldığı alanlara yönelik birçok çalışma literatürde bulunmaktadır. Bu çalışma dijital dönüşümde gazetecilik uygulamalarının yapay zekâ ekseninde ne denli verimli olduğu yönünde yapılan uluslararası araştırma raporlarının derlenmesi ve karşılaştırılmasıyla hazırlanmıştır. Bu amaçla performans verimliliği de dikkate alındığında literatüre katkı sağlayacağı değerlendirilmektedir.

EXAMINING ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND PRODUCTIVITY IN JOURNALISM

Abstract

This study examines the impact of digital transformation, particularly artificial intelligence, on productivity in journalism and communication. It explores innovations and changes brought by this transformation, using content analysis and human performance technology methods to evaluate AI applications in news and media environments. Newspapers utilizing AI in news production were selected as the sample. The study reviews reports on AI's effects on society, the labor market, and the media, highlighting its potential to enhance productivity and efficiency in journalism, from news production to distribution and verification, while addressing ethical concerns. Although AI is viewed positively for its contributions to productivity and advancements in sectors like health, education, and transportation, concerns about job automation and unemployment persist. By compiling and comparing international research reports, this study aims to contribute to the literature by evaluating the performance efficiency of journalism practices in the context of digital transformation driven by AI.
