Castleman’s Disease with Parotid Involvement: US, Doppler US, CT, and MRI Findings

Abstract

Purpose: To present parotid involvement of infrequent disease: Castleman's disease. Materials and methods: Patient with Castleman's disease underwent US, Doppler US, CT, and MRI examinations. Results: Multiple lymphadenopathy were noted in the bilateral supraauricular, preauricular, anterior and posterior cervical chain locations. Additionally there were also multiple lymphadenopathy in the bilateral parotid gland parenchyma. Conclusion: The head and neck region is one of the frequent involvement site of Castleman's Disease. It may be presented with a considerable diagnostic difficulty due to its unusual localization and ability to mimic other neoplasm. The ultrasound, CT and MRI findings of an unusual case of Castleman's disease involving the parotid gland were presented and discussed. Key words: Castleman's disease, Ultrasound, CT, MRI

Castleman Hastalığında Parotis Tutulumu Olan Olguda: US, Doppler US, BT ve MRG Bulguları

Abstract

Amaç: Nadir izlenen Castleman hastalığının parotis tutulumunun sunulması. Gereç ve yöntem: Castleman hastalığı olgusuna ultrasonografi, MRG ve BT tetkiki uygulandı. Bulgular: Her iki supraklavikular, preaurikular, ön ve arka servikal zincirde çok sayıda lenfadenopati saptandı. Ayrıca her iki parotis glandı parankiminde de multiple lenfadenopati tespit edildi . Tartışma: Castleman hastalığı boyun bölgesinde sık izlenen bir hastalık olup, atipik yerleşim göstermesi, malign kitleleri taklit edebilmesi nedeniyle ayırıcı tanısı her zaman kolay olmayabilir. Castleman hastalığının çok nadir bir lokalizasyonu olan parotis gland tutulumunun ultrasonografi, MRG ve BT görüntüleme bulguları tartışıldı.
