Abstract

Amfizematöz pyelonefrit, gaz oluşturan mikroorganizmalar tarafından oluşturulan, perirenal dokuların ve renal parankimin hayatı tehdit eden nekrotizan infeksiyonudur. Amaç: Biz, bu gözden geçirme yazımızda amfizematöz pyelonefritin etiyo-patogenezi, radyolojik ve klinik bulguları ile tedavisini tartıştık. Sonuç: Amfizematöz pyelonefrit; hayatı tehdit eden bir infeksiyon olduğundan, karın ağrısından yakınan ya da pyelonefritten şüphenilen diabetes mellitüs'ü bulunan vakalarda ayırıcı tanıda her zaman akılda tutulması gereken hayatı tehdit eden bir infeksiyondur. Abstract

Emphysematous pyelonephritis is a life-threatening, necrotizing infection of renal parenchyma and perirenal tissues caused by gas-forming organisms. Aim: We discussed ethiyopathogenesis, radiological and clinical signs and treatment of emphysematous pyelonephritis in this review article. Conclusion: Emphysematous pyelonephritis is a life-threatening infection that should always be considered in the differential diagnosis for a diabetic patient with abdominal pain or suspected pyelonephritis.
