Abstract
In this study, we analyzed the relationship of serum lipoprotein (a) levels and initial Glasgow coma score (GCS) of246 patients with cerebrovascular disease (CVD). The correlation between atherosclerosis and serum lipids are well known. This condition has been clearly demonstrated in coronary artery disease but no correlation could be found in CVD. In recent years, many studies were reported that Lp (a) is closely similar to plasminogen and has atherogenic potential. In this study, we observed that there is no statistically difference between serum Lp (a) levels and GCS at the post-stroke period. We also observed that serum Lp (a) levels are not valuable for predicting the outcome in patients with stroke. Abstract
Bu çalışmada, klinik ve radyolojik incelemelerle serebrovasküler hastalık (SVH) tanısı alarak kliniğimizce izlenen 246 olguda lipoprotein (a) [Lp (a)]değerleri ve başvuru anındaki Glasgow koma puanı (GKP) arasındaki ilişki araştırıldı. Son yıllarda, plazminojenle yakın benzerliği olan ve aterojenik potansiyeli bulunan Lp (a) ile ilgili olarak pek çok çalışma yapılmıştır. Biz bu çalışmada inme sonrası akut dönemde serum Lp (a) düzeyleri ile GKP arasında anlamlı bir ilişki bulunmadığını ve prognoz tahmininde değerli olmadığını gözledik.
