Abstract
Congenital or acquired cholesteatoma in the petro us part of the temporal bone leads to facial nerve paralysis insidiously. Sensorineural hearing loss may be observed frequently due to erosion of the cochlea or labyrinth. The facial nerve function and hearing status designates the surgical approach. In th is paper, a patient with anterior petrous apex cholesteatoma leading to facial nerve paresis and total hearing loss for three years was reported. Abstract
Petröz kemik içindeki kolesteatom ister konjenital, ister edinsel etiyoloji ile oluşsun kendisini sinsi ve hızla ilerleyen fasiyal paralizi gelişimi ile gösterir. Koklea ve labirentin erozyonuna bağlı olarak nörosensorye l işitme kaybı da sıklıkla görülmektedir. Cerrahi yaklaşım bu iki önemli fonksiyonun durumuna göre seçilir. Bu olgu sunumunda gecikmiş tanı ile KBB kliniğine başvuran, 3 yıllık fasiyal parezisi olan ve total işitme kaybı olan, kolesteatomun anterior petröz apekse kadar uzandığı bir olgu sunulmaktadır.
