Developing Processes of Voltan Acar Assertiveness Scale

Abstract

In order to measure assertiveness the Voltan-Acar Assertiveness Inventory is developed. The scale has 28 items. Test-retest coefficient is 0.89 and Cronbach Alpha is 0.87. According the confirmatory factor analysis of the scale, the internal concistancy coefficent for the passiveness factor is 0.83 (17 items), for the assertiveness factor is 0.78. Reliability coefficient of the whole test is 0.87. Later, second order confirmatory factor model is formulated and the goodness of fit is interpreted. As a result of the analysis it can be stated that this scale for assertiveness can be utilized for the university students to measure their assertiveness.

Kendini Belirleme (Güvengenlik) Ölçeği Geliştirme Çalışmaları

Abstract

Güvengenliğin (assertiveness) ölçülmesi amacıyla geliştirilen Voltan-Acar Kendini Belirleme Envanterinin geçerlik ve güvenirlik çalışmaları yapılmıştır. 28 maddeden oluşan Güvengenlik envanterinin doğrulayıcı faktör analizi sonuçlarına göre geçerliği sağlanan alt boyutlarının iç tutarlık güvenirlik katsayıları ise Çekingen boyutu için 0,83 (17 madde) ve Güvengen boyutu için ise 0,78 (11 madde) olarak elde edilmiştir. Testin tamamına ait güvenirlik katsayısı ise 0,87 dir. Analizlerin devam eden aşamasında söz konusu Çekingen ve Güvengen boyutlarının Güvengenlik olarak ilgili literatürde tanımlanan psikolojik yapının alt boyutları olduğunu göstermek amacıyla bu iki boyutun bir üst boyutla yapısal ilişkilerini veren yeni bir ikinci düzey doğrulayıcı faktör modeli (Second order confirmatory factor analysis model) oluşturulmuş ve elde edilen uyum iyiliği indeksleri yorumlanmıştır. Analiz sonuçları, geliştirilen envanterin üniversite öğrencileri için kullanılabilecek geçerli ve güvenilir bir ölçme aracı olduğunu destekler nitelikte bulunmuştur.
