Abstract

The goal of this study was to examine the relationships among vocational maturity, career indecision and irrational belief. A total of 282 high school students were participated in the study. The Vocational Maturity Scale, Career Indecision Inventory and Irrational Beliefs Scale were used to collect data. Regression analysis and Pearson Moment Correlations were used to analyze the data. The results showed that vocational maturity and career indecision were mostly related to irrational career belief rather than general irrational belief. It was also determined that irrational career belief predicted vocational maturity and career indecision more than general irrational belief. Further, it was found that irrational beliefs regarding career choice was correlated with career indecision rather than vocational maturity.
