Comparing Students in the International Bacholar and the Regular Lycee Program on the Family Communication Patterns and the Social Skills Acquired

Abstract

The IB and the regular programs in TED Ankara college have the aim of contributing to the social, personal and academic development of the students by using different methodologies in the educational process. Within the school setting, the approaches and methodologies used determine not only the academic skills of the students, but social and personal skills as well. It is well known that the school and the home environments are the two basic settings for the socialization process. This study aims to compare the 9th and the 10th grade students in the two programs on the family communication patterns and the social skills acquired.
