Üniversite Öğrencilerinde Risk Alma Davranışlarının Yordayıcıları

Abstract

Üniversite öğrencilerinde risk alma davranışlarının sıklıkla görüldüğü bilinmektedir. Eğitimi, sağlığı ve yaşamı tehlikeye atan sigara ve alkol kullanma, hız limitini aşarak araba kullanma ve emniyet kemeri kullanmama gibi davranışlar risk alma davranışı olarak tanımlanmaktadır. Bu tür davranışlar yetişkinliğe başarılı bir şekilde geçişi olumsuz etkileyebilmektedir. Bu çalışmanın amacı üniversite öğrencilerinde, demografik özellikler, ebeveynlik özellikleri, akran özellikleri ve benmerkezciliğin risk alma davranışları ile ilişkisini incelemektir. Araştırmaya yaş aralığı 18 ve 25 arasında değişmekte olan 410 üniversite öğrencisi katılmıştır. Katılımcıların 282’si kadın (% 69), 128’i erkek (% 31)’tir. Katılımcıların yaş ortalaması 20.54’tür (SS=1.33). Veriler Risk Alma Ölçeği, Yeniden Düzenlenmiş Kişisel Söylence Ölçeği, Yeniden Düzenlenmiş Hayali Seyirci Ölçeği, Çocuk Yetiştirme Stilleri Ölçeği ve Demografik Bilgi Formu ile toplanmıştır. Risk alma davranışlarının yordayıcılarını belirlemek amacıyla hiyerarşik regresyon analizi yapılmıştır. Analiz sonucunda tüm model varyansın %32’sini açıklamıştır. Son blokta yaş, cinsiyet, ebeveyn eğitimi, arkadaşlarla geçirilen saat, babanın kabul/ilgisi ve kişisel söylence değişkenlerinin risk alma davranışlarını anlamlı bir şekilde yordadığı bulunmuştur.
