JİNEOLOGY: A PSEUDOSCİENCE, FEMİNİSM ABUSE, PKK INDOCTRİNATİON

Abstract

Jineology, a concept originated by Abdullah Öcalan, the leader of the separatist terrorist organization, claims to be a science. However, when Jineology is analyzed, it is understood that it exploits feminist concepts and takes feminist concepts out of their context. It is seen that it is a PKK indoctrination and propaganda tool that almost sanctifies violence and women-based terrorism. Pseudosciences mimic scientific methods but lack transparency and controllability. They often form closed loops, resistant to falsification. Although presented as a scientific endeavor, Jineology merely weaponizes feminism by injecting PKK ideology jargon into it. While the organization indoctrinates women with this concept, Abdullah Öcalan is transformed from a terrorist leader into a philosopher. Moreover, realizing that Jineology found an audience in the Western world, the organization strategically incorporated it into its international public relations and diplomacy efforts. This study analyzes the history of feminism, women’s roles within the PKK, and the organization’s policies. The concept of Jineology is criticized as a pseudoscience. Finally, the study presented recommendations to counter the PKK’s policies.
