THE EXPECTATIONS OF THE ACCOMMODATION ESTABLISHMENTS FROM ACCOUNTING EDUCATION

Abstract

As in all other sectors also in accommodation sector one of the most important departments is accounting. Accommodation sector with its own unique characteristics requires a special knowledge of accounting and tourism. Various researches conducted in the accommodation industry draw attention to the rapidly growing lack of qualified staff and one of them is the accountant. According to business owners, the most important deficiency in the sector is the lack of accountants with degrees in bachelors and masters. Subject and application area of the study is limited by accommodation establishments. Within the framework of the above descriptions, the aim of this research is to determine the expectations of the accounting managers of the five-star hotels in Alanya from accounting education. In this context, a questionnaire study has been made and the findings have been described at the conclusion section of this article.

KONAKLAMA İŞLETMELERİNİN MUHASEBE EĞİTİMİNDEN BEKLENTİLERİ

Abstract

Diğer sektörlerde olduğu gibi konaklama sektöründe de en önemli birimlerden birisi muhasebe bölümüdür. Konaklama sektörü sahip olduğu kendine has özellikleri ile özel bir muhasebe ve turizm bilgisini gerektirmektedir. Konaklama sektöründe yapılan çeşitli araştırmalar hızla artan kalifiye eleman eksikliğine dikkati çekmekte olup bunlardan birisi de muhasebecilerdir. İşletme sahiplerine göre konaklama sektöründeki en önemli eksiklik lisans ve lisansüstü seviyede eğitim görmüş muhasebecilerin azlığıdır. Çalışmanın konusu ve uygulama alanı konaklama işletmeleri ile sınırlandırılmıştır. Yukarıdaki açıklamalar çerçevesinde bu çalışmanın amacı Alanya bölgesinde faaliyet gösteren beş yıldızlı otellerin muhasebe müdürlerinin muhasebe eğitiminden beklentilerini tespit etmektir. Bu bağlamda söz konusu müdürler ile bir anket çalışması yapılmış ve elde edilen bulgular makalenin sonuç kısmında açıklanmıştır
