The study aims to examine the perceptions of mothers who have children with normal development in early childhood. The research model of this research was chosen as the relational research model. The population of the study is the mothers who have a normally developing child in early childhood. The study group of the study was selected using the easily accessible situation sampling method, which is included in the purposeful sampling. Ten mothers participated in the study. The study group of the study is mothers with a child with normal development in early childhood. The data collection tool of the research is one-on-one interviews with interview management. It was analyzed by the content analysis method obtained in the research. Results, aims of the research are tabulated, explained, and interpreted. In the study, disability perception was not encountered in mothers who had children with normal development in early childhood, and it was observed that mothers' one-to-one experiences with disabled individuals gave them a positive attitude in raising their children.
Araştırmanın amacı erken çocukluk döneminde normal gelişim gösteren çocukları olan annelerin engellilik algılarını incelemektir. Bu nedenle de bu araştırmanın araştırma modeli nitel araştırma modeli olarak tercih edilmiştir. Araştırma, Ekim 2020-Ocak 2021 tarihleri arasında yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın evreni, erken çocukluk döneminde normal gelişim gösteren çocukları olan annelerdir. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu amaçlı örnekleme dâhil olan kolay ulaşılabilir durum örneklemesi yöntemiyle seçilmiş, erken çocukluk döneminde normal gelişim gösteren çocukları olan 10 anne oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın veri toplama aracı birebir mülakat yönetimiyle yapılan görüşmelerdir. Araştırmada elde edilen veriler içerik analizi yöntemi ile çözümlenmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda, erken çocukluk döneminde normal gelişim gösteren çocuklara sahip annelerin engellilik algısında ayrımcılığa rastlanmamış, annelerin engelli bireylerle birebir deneyimlerinin çocuklarını yetiştirmede de onlara olumlu bir tutum kazandırdığı gözlemlenmiştir.
