KLAZOMENAİ PARASEMONU TAŞIYAN SERAMİK BULUNTULAR IŞIĞINDA 4. YÜZYILDA KLAZOMENAİ VE LEUKAİ İLİŞKİSİ

Abstract

Bu makalenin konusunu Klazomenai ve Smyrna’dan gelen iki adet siyah firnisli cupskyphos
kaide parçası oluşturmaktadır. Bu parçalar taşıdıkları kuğu figürü baskısı ve kuğunun
çevresinde yer alan yazıttaki ΚΛΑΖΟΜΕΝΙΩΝ şeklindeki ethnikon açısından benzersiz
eserlerdir. Bu baskıda yer alan ayakta duran kuğu figürü 4. yüzyıl Klazomenai altın ve gümüş
sikkelerinin arka yüzü ve aynı dönemin Leukai bronz sikkelerinin arka yüzünden çok iyi
tanınmaktadır ve bu vazolar üzerinde ortaya çıkmış olması onlara resmi ve kamusal bir
karakter kazandırmaktadır. Olasılıkla polis tarafından resmi ya da kamusal bir kullanım için
demosion olarak yerel siyah firnisli seramik atölyelerine özel olarak sipariş edilmişlerdir. Bu
çalışmada söz konusu parçaların nasıl bir tarihsel süreç içerisinde ortaya çıkmış ve ne amaçla
kullanılmış oldukları sorularına Klazomenai ve Leukai arasındaki tarihsel ilişki bağlamında
cevap aranacaktır.
