NEW EXPOSITION OF DANGER IN CINEMA: THRILLERS WITH SOCIAL MEDIA CONTENT

Abstract

One of the important changes and maybe can be regarded as the most important, internet, which the century we are in have made in the social life, has encompassed daily life in accordance with the characteristics of the digital age. Every moment of daily life, from forms of communication to friendship, has been redefined and reconstructed according to this digital siege. The cinema, which narrates and tells of social changes in its own language, is also affected by this siege and social media films that adopt a similar narrative language have begun to attract attention, in recent years. This study aimed to examine social media related thriller films which are defined in the context of the danger concept of the cinema, by the method of critical text analysis within the scope of the Nerve film sample which came into vision in 2016. In this study, the transfer of danger and tension in the cinema of social media has been considered as a different and effective way of warning against the threats of the internet which should not be neglected especially in the process of socialization of young people and a framework has been drawn about the reflection the danger of the cinema in social media
