Resource dependency theory emerged with the claim of responding to the need for explaining the relations of organizations in the organizational field with their environment. In the studies within the scope of the theory, external and intra-organizational relations were emphasized, and in both types of relations, "power" and its use were focused. Poweroriented theoretical approaches also constitute a strong background in terms of explaining hateful acts and discourses directed at administrators. Because the pressures directed at the administrators and carried to the media platforms by not being satisfied with this, pave the way for the formation of certain judgments in the public conscience. The perception of hatred, which puts managers on the target board, is built on this ground. The manager, who is at the center of the constructed perception, often has to leave his job. Examples of executives leaving their positions or being dismissed directly due to pressure from the top are frequently encountered. Another mechanism, which is encountered less frequently, can come from the lower side and remove the manager from his office. Although this mechanism is expressed with the concept of "defenestration" in the English literature, the concept does not have a direct equivalent in Turkish. For this reason, in this article, the concept of defenestration as it takes place in the media organs broadcasting in English is emphasized and explanations are made through various examples. Considered as a qualitative study, this study was structured in accordance with the case study research design. Acting in line with this method, explanations and inferences were made regarding the hate acts and discourses (defenestration) directed against the administrators.
