Ethics Committee Approval: As of Volume 5, Issue 2 (2022), ethics committee approval is mandatory for all studies that require such approval, and the relevant ethics approval information must be clearly stated in the manuscript. Studies requiring ethics committee approval will not be considered for evaluation if the necessary approval documentation or information is not provided. Ethics committee approval is not required for review articles, systematic reviews, or other types of studies that do not require ethical approval. Nevertheless, the author(s) are responsible for determining whether ethics committee approval is required based on the nature and design of the study.

Similarity Report: A similarity report must be uploaded during manuscript submission. The overall similarity rate of the manuscript must be below 20%. The Editorial Board reserves the right to reassess the similarity report or request further evaluation when deemed necessary.

Previously Presented Studies and Thesis/Dissertation-Based Manuscripts: If a manuscript has previously been presented at a national or international scientific meeting, if its abstract or extended abstract has been published, or if it has been derived from a master’s thesis or doctoral dissertation, this information must be clearly disclosed in the “Notes to the Editor” section during submission. The author(s) are responsible for providing complete and accurate information regarding any previous presentation or publication of the study and its derivation from a thesis or dissertation.

Review and Publication Process: The time required for the review and publication of manuscripts may vary depending on reviewers’ evaluation timelines, the number of revision rounds required, editorial procedures, and the volume of manuscripts submitted to the journal. Authors are therefore kindly requested to take these factors into consideration when submitting their manuscripts.

The Journal of Turkish Sport Science (JTSS) – Türk Spor Bilimleri Dergisi (TSBD) is a peer-reviewed academic journal publishing original scholarly research in the field of sport sciences. The journal welcomes national and international scholarly contributions and adopts a double-blind peer-review process. JTSS is published twice a year, in March and October.
