KONYA HAVZASI METALİK ÇANAK ÇÖMLEĞİ: Erken Tunç Çağı’nda Özel Bir Çanak Çömlek Grubunun Tipolojik, Teknolojik ve Kronolojik Yönden İncelenmesi

Abstract

Bu çalışma ile İç Anadolu’nun güneyinde Konya Havzası olarak tanımlanan coğrafi bölge içinde kalan yerleşimlerden ele geçen ve Erken Tunç Çağı’na tarihlendirilen, belirli tarzda üretilmiş özel bir çanak çömlek grubu olan “metalik çanak çömlek” değerlendirilmekte ve bütünlükçü bir yaklaşım ile ele alınmaktadır. Bu çanak çömlek grubu bazı araştırmacılar tarafından daha önce araştırılmış olmakla birlikte detaylı bir kronolojik tipoloji, işlev tipolojisi ve yayılım alanı gibi hususlar ilk defa bu çalışma ile sunulmaktadır. Bu makalede, yayınlanmış ve yayınlanmamış toplam 340 çanak çömlek örneği değerlendirilmiştir. Bu örnekler tipolojik, teknolojik ve kronolojik yönden detaylı olarak incelenmiştir. Yapılan incelemeler sonucunda bu çanak çömlek grubu için detaylı bir tipoloji oluşturulmuş, yayılım alanı ve kronolojik problemleri aydınlatılmaya çalışılmıştır. Ayrıca söz konusu bu çanak çömlek grubu için “Konya Havzası Metalik Çanak Çömleği (KHMÇÇ)” olarak yeni bir isim önerisi sunulmaktadır.

The Konya Basin Metallic Ware: Typological, Technological and Chronological Analysis of a Specialized Early Bronze Age Ceramic Production in Anatolia

Abstract

This paper provides a synthetic assessment of a peculiar Early Bronze Age ceramic production from the Konya Basin in southern-central Anatolia (Turkey), known in the literature as “Metallic Ware”. While there have been several studies on this ware, our work presents for the first time a detailed chrono-typology, a functional analysis and an evaluation of its spatial distribution employing ca 340 published and unpublished pieces. We also propose a new term to identify this production in future studies, the “Konya Basin Metallic Ware (KBMW)”.
