In this study, three Ionic capitals which were found in and around the ancient city of Sinope were investigated. The applications of these capitals can be considered as concrete traces of the intercultural interaction between especially Athens from the Attica Region and Sinope. One face being embossed and the other face painting; forming a circular, flat processing area at the corners of the echinus; applications such as undecorated pulvinus and balteus arranged in flat bands reflect these Attic effects. These practices also contain important clues about the existence of a local workshop in the city that can knowingly apply the popular architectural practices and decorations of the period.TANIMLAMA
