BRAIDWOOD'S AXIOM AND KENYON'S CHRONOLOGY: COMPLEXITIES AND THE NEOLITHIC OF SOUTHWESTERN ASIA

Abstract

Neolitik Devirde güneybatı Asya'nın yarım asır önce düşünüldüğünden çok daha karmaşık bir sosyo-politik ve sosyo-ekonomik düzene sahip olduğu artık açıkça ortaya konulmuştur. "Hilly Flanks" (Dağların Yamaçları) bölgesinden biriken veriler Neolitik'in ekolojik (çevrebilimsel) olarak farz ettiğimizden çok daha karmaşık ve kültürel olarak da çok daha çeşitli olduğunu ortaya koymuştur. Bu karmaşalıkları doğru ele alarak tanımaya çalışmak gerekmektedir ve eğer güneybatı Asya'nın Neolitik'ini anlamak istiyorsak bu tanımlamayı yapmamız gerekmektedir
