Cafer Pasha Darulkurra, started to be restored in 2020, has been completed after a two-year restoration process and opened to visit in 2022. Even during only June 2021 period of restoration project, various glazed tiles and ceramic fragments belonging to the Ottoman Period and ceramics and porcelains produced in Europe have been unearthed. Various tile, ceramic and porcelain finds, for which stratigraphy could not be determined and all of which were unearthed from fill soil have been delivered to Kütahya Museum. These findings constitute the subject of the study. Samples, indicating daily use and found in Cafer Pasha Darulkurra Madrasah, are composed of kitchenwares, pitcher and ewer parts, six parts of jar, one of which is double-handle, cup, nozzle, bowl, plate, toy/ram figurine and a few clay water pipe and pipe pieces with glazed tiles belonging to Ottoman Period. Almost all of the findings consist of body, handle, tear and deep parts and nearly all of the works do not exist at all. The findings that can be dated clearly cover the period between the 14th century and the 20th century. In the study, it has been aimed to introduce such findings and to examine forms, technical properties, adornment and paste properties of the findings.
Malzemeyi çalışma imkânı tanıyan Kütahya Müze Müdürü Sayın Sevgi GÜRDAL’a ve Seher ALTUNKAYNAK DUĞAN’a teşekkür ederim.
