Abstract

Türkçe eğitimi akademik alanının akademik gelişimine katkıda bulunan bilim insanlarından biri de Prof. Dr. Osman Gündüz’dür. Gündüz, kuramsal eserleri ile ana dili eğitimi-öğretimi sürecinde temel dil becerilerinin rolünün anlaşılmasına katkıda bulunmuştur. Gündüz’ün h-endeksi katsayısı 9, tüm yayınlar için aldığı atıf sayısı 548’dir. Bu çalışmada Prof. Dr. Osman Gündüz’ün bilimetrik portresini belirlemek amaçlanmıştır. Bilimetrik portre çalışmaları bilimsel göstergeleri dikkate alan veri odaklı bir çalışma yaklaşımıdır. Çalışmada bibliyometrik analiz ve atıf analizi tekniklerinden yararlanılmıştır. Çalışmanın veri kaynakları Prof. Dr. Osman Gündüz’den elde edilen detaylı özgeçmiş ve Google Akademik arama motorudur.Lisansüstü tez danışmanlıklarına ilişkin verilere YÖK Ulusal Tez Merkezi veri tabanından erişilmiştir. Çalışmada ulaşılan bulgulara göre, Gündüz’ün akademik üretimleri ve istatistikleri ile genç araştırmacılar açısından pozitif rol model bir bilim insanı olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
