Since ancient nomadic societies were organized as social units, music was the most important binding element. Music sometimes was a part of a ritual performed by Shaman and sometimes it could be played purely for fun.The article aims to introduce the musical instruments used by the nomads who occupied whole Eurasian steppes. Materials mostly come from kurgan excavations belong to Iron and Medieval Ages, chronological upper limit is the Uighur period. Because among the nomads, where oral literature predominantly took place, musical instruments were also acceptable to the extent that they were portable. Therefore, it is necessary to express that the size of the tools is proportional to the way of life. When these musical instruments are examined, it is clear that they are performed in positive tones (major) such as excitement, enthusiasm and joy. This emotional performance impresses the audience in such a way that sometimes it makes you feel like you are on a galloping horse and sometimes you are in a war.
