Active research areas include: assessment of the vulnerability of groundwater to pollution and groundwater potential, site selection, determination the morphometric characteristics of various geographic features, determining temporal changes in land use, surface temperature, and vegetation cover using Geographic Information System (GIS) and Remote Sensing (RS) techniques.
Alperen Erdoğan completed his undergraduate studies at the Department of Geomatics Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Gümüşhane University. In the same year, he began his master's degree at Selçuk University. He completed his master's degree in 2016. During his master's degree, he taught courses as a guest lecturer at Hadim Vocational School and Technical Sciences Vocational School. Taking a break from his academic career, he worked in the private sector in the fields of land consolidation and private engineering services. As of 2018, he began working as a lecturer at Yozgat Bozok University's Şefaatli Vocational School. In 2019, he began his doctoral studies at the Graduate School of Konya Technical University. In 2023, he participated in the Erasmus Program at the University of Trento's Faculty of Information Engineering and Computer Science. In 2025, he received the title of assistant professor and is currently working in the Department of Urban and Regional Planning at the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture at Yozgat Bozok University.
Dr. Halil İbrahim Şenol is an Assistant Professor at Harran University, specializing in Geomatics Engineering and Cartography. With B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees from Yıldız Technical University, his research focuses on GIS and DEM integration, smart cities, remote sensing, earth observation, and map education for children.
