Active research areas include: assessment of the vulnerability of groundwater to pollution and groundwater potential, site selection, determination the morphometric characteristics of various geographic features, determining temporal changes in land use, surface temperature, and vegetation cover using Geographic Information System (GIS) and Remote Sensing (RS) techniques.

Dr. Halil İbrahim Şenol is an Assistant Professor at Harran University, specializing in Geomatics Engineering and Cartography. With B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees from Yıldız Technical University, his research focuses on GIS and DEM integration, smart cities, remote sensing, earth observation, and map education for children.
Alperen Erdoğan completed his undergraduate studies at the Department of Geomatics Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Gümüşhane University. In the same year, he began his master's degree at Selçuk University. He completed his master's degree in 2016. During his master's degree, he taught courses as a guest lecturer at Hadim Vocational School and Technical Sciences Vocational School. Taking a break from his academic career, he worked in the private sector in the fields of land consolidation and private engineering services. As of 2018, he began working as a lecturer at Yozgat Bozok University's Şefaatli Vocational School. In 2019, he began his doctoral studies at the Graduate School of Konya Technical University. In 2023, he participated in the Erasmus Program at the University of Trento's Faculty of Information Engineering and Computer Science. In 2025, he received the title of assistant professor and is currently working in the Department of Urban and Regional Planning at the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture at Yozgat Bozok University.
Dr. Maomao Zhang is a researcher at Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China, recognized among the world's top 2% of scientists in the 2025 Stanford University–Elsevier ranking. His research focuses on land use and thermal environment, urban climate, remote sensing, sustainable development, and machine learning. He has published approximately 60 peer-reviewed papers in SCI/SSCI-indexed journals, including Cell Reports Sustainability, Sustainable Cities and Society, Habitat International, Journal of Environmental Management, Urban Climate, Energy and Buildings, Energy Reports, Ecological Indicators, Environment, Development and Sustainability, Advances in Space Research, Earth Science Informatics, and Journal for Nature Conservation. He serves as an anonymous reviewer for numerous journals, such as Nature Cities, Cell Reports Sustainability, Sustainable Cities and Society, Environmental Impact Assessment Review, Cities, Remote Sensing, Applied Geography, iScience, Building and Environment, Journal of Environmental Management, and Urban Climate. He has also served as a guest editor for SCI/SSCI-indexed journals including Atmosphere, Land, Applied Sciences, Discover Cities, and Frontiers in Environmental Science.
Dr. Khalil Valizadeh Kamran is currently working as a full Professor in the Department of Remote Sensing and GIS, University of Tabriz , Iran. His research interests includes Land use/Land cover classification, monitoring and change detection, Image processing, Thermal remote sensing, Remote sensing and GIS applied to climatology,Remote sensing and GIS application for Geohazard monitoring and risk assessment, SAR image processing, GIS based climatology. He is serving as an editorial member and reviewer of several international reputed journals. Prof. Dr. Khalil Valizadeh Kamran is the member of many international affiliations. He has successfully completed his Administrative responsibilities. He has authored of many research articles/books related to Land use.

Giuseppe Pulighe currently works at the Research Center for Agricultural Policies and Bioeconomy, Council for Agricultural Research and Economics (CREA). He is working in the field of Agronomy, Bioenergy, Land Use Change, Water Management, Remote Sensing and GIS. He has authored over 60 journal publications and conference contributions. Regularly serves as reviewer for international journals. I deliver professional training courses on SWAT+, with a focus on practical implementation and applied modelling in professional contexts.
