Hollanda’da Yaşayan Türklerde Kimlik ve Ulusötesi Medya Kullanımı

Abstract

II. Dünya Savaşından sonra, Avrupa’ya kitlesel işçi göçü yaşanmış ve bu Türkiye’yi de etkilemiştir. Bu göçler sadece işçi göçü ile değil, aynı zamanda Avrupa’da bir Türk toplumunun olması ile de sonuçlanmıştır. İki ülke arasında yaşamlarını sürdüren Türkler, anavatanları ile bağlarını çeşitli kanallar yolu ile devam ettirmektedirler. Bu çalışmada Hollanda’daki Türklerin ulusötesi medya kullanımı ile Türk ve Hollandalı kimliğini benimseme düzeyleri arasındaki ilişki incelenmektedir. Nicel yöntem kapsamında yapılan çalışmada Hollanda’da yaşayan 230 Türk’ten anket yolu ile veri toplanmıştır. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre Türklerin Hollanda medyası takip etme oranı, Türkiye medyasını takip etme oranından daha düşüktür. Türk kimliğini benimseme ile Türk medyasını takip etme arasında ise pozitif yönlü anlamlı ilişki vardır.
