This paper focuses on a dialectal Turkish name of a quite humble, but extremely useful kitchen utensil that has an extraordinary significance in the cultural and religious history of Georgia from oldest time. The Turkish name in question appears at the north-eastern most edge of Anatolia, especially in the places of Şavşat and Ardanuç and their environs.
