Yaş Meyve İhracatında Karşılaştırmalı Üstünlüğün Ölçülmesi: Özbekistan Örneği

Abstract

Yaş meyveler dünya tarımsal ürün ticaretinde önemli bir yere sahiptir. Dünya yaş meyve üretiminde ve ticaretinde Avrupa ülkeleri ilk sıralarda yer almaktadır. Bununla birlikte, son yıllarda Özbekistan da dünya yaş meyve ihracatında büyüyen önemli bir aktör olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır. 2000’li yıllardan itibaren Özbekistan’da meyve üretim ve ihracatında çok önemli gelişmeler yaşanmıştır. Özellikle elma, üzüm ve kayısı üretimi ve ihracatında ciddi artışlar yaşanmıştır. Bu çalışmada Özbekistan’ın seçilmiş yaş meyve mahsullerinde (elma, üzüm, kayısı, kiraz ve şeftali) karşılaştırmalı üstünlüğe sahip olup olmadığı araştırılmıştır. Çalışma 2000-2020 dönemini kapsamakta olup, çalışmada kullanılan veriler FAO ve BM Comtrade veri tabanından derlenmiştir. Verilerin analizinde Açıklanmış Karşılaştırmalı Üstünlükler indeksinden yararlanılmıştır. Yapılan hesaplamalar sonucunda Özbekistan’ın ele alınan taze meyve mahsullerinin tamamında karşılaştırmalı üstünlüğe sahip olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Elde edilen bulgulara göre, Özbekistan kayısı, kiraz, şeftali ve üzüm ihracatında yüksek karşılaştırmalı üstünlüğe sahipken, elma ihracatında ise zayıf karşılaştırmalı üstünlüğe sahiptir. İhracat pazarı çeşitlendirilerek ve daha da yüksek kaliteli meyve çeşitleri pazara sunularak ülkenin ihracat performansı artırılabilir.
