Objective: The aim of this study is to conduct a bibliometric analysis of articles on the impact of dental equipment on anxiety, published in the Web of Science database, in order to investigate research trends and the overall state of this field.
Materials and Methods: The research was conducted on March 25, 2025, in the Web of Science database using the keywords “dental equipment” and “anxiety.” Articles published between 2001 and 2025 and written exclusively in English were included in the study. The analysis encompassed criteria such as the number of authors, keywords, and the journals in which the articles were published. The data was downloaded in BibTeX format and analyzed using the Biblioshiny software.
Results: As a result of the filtering process, it was found that 2522 authors, 13639 references, and 1304 keywords were used. The highest number of articles was published in 2024, with a Document Average Age of 7.66 and International Co-Authorship at 26%. China emerged as the country with the highest volume of research, while Yonsei university was found to be the leading university conducting research in this area. The most frequently used keywords were “anxiety,” “dental equipment” and “dental anxiety.”
Conclusion: This study reveals the current state of the field within dentistry through a bibliometric analysis of research on the impact of dental equipment on anxiety.
