Erasmus+ Sürdürülebilirlik Projelerine Katılan Lise Öğrencilerinin Gözünden Sürdürülebilirlik Bilinci ve Günlük Yaşam Değişimleri

Abstract

Bu araştırma, Erasmus+ sürdürülebilirlik projelerine katılan lise öğrencilerinin sürdürülebilirlik kavramını nasıl anlamlandırdıklarını, proje deneyimlerinin günlük yaşam davranışlarına nasıl yansıdığını ve kültürlerarası öğrenme süreçlerinin bakış açılarına katkısını incelemektedir. Nitel araştırma yaklaşımıyla yürütülen çalışma, durum çalışması deseninde tasarlanmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu sürdürülebilirlik temalı Erasmus+ proje faaliyetlerine katılmış yirmi beş lise öğrencisi oluşturmuştur. Veriler beş odak grup görüşmesiyle toplanmış ve içerik analiziyle çözümlenmiştir. Bulgular, öğrencilerin sürdürülebilirliği proje öncesinde daha çok geri dönüşüm ve çevre koruma ile ilişkilendirdiklerini, proje deneyimleri sonrasında ise bilinçli tüketim, kaynak kullanımı, sürdürülebilir moda, sosyal sorumluluk ve kültürlerarası etkileşim boyutlarıyla daha geniş biçimde anlamlandırdıklarını göstermiştir. Öğrenci anlatıları, proje deneyimlerinin sürdürülebilir yaşama yönelik farkındalık, niyet ve günlük yaşam tercihlerini sorgulama açısından anlamlı yansımalar sunduğunu ortaya koymuştur.

Sustainability Awareness and Daily Life Changes from the Perspectives of High School Students Participating in Erasmus+ Sustainability Projects

Abstract

This study examines how high school students participating in Erasmus+ sustainability projects make sense of sustainability, how their project experiences are reflected in daily life behaviors, and how intercultural learning processes contribute to their perspectives. Designed as a qualitative case study, the research involved twenty-five high school students who had participated in Erasmus+ project activities focused on sustainability. Data were collected through five focus group interviews and analyzed through content analysis. The findings showed that students initially associated sustainability mainly with recycling and environmental protection, while after the project experiences they interpreted it more broadly through conscious consumption, resource use, sustainable fashion, social responsibility, and intercultural interaction. Student narratives indicated that project experiences offered meaningful reflections in terms of awareness, intention, and questioning daily life choices related to sustainable living.
