Manuscripts submitted to UBED undergo a preliminary review in terms of compliance with the journal’s publication, writing, quality, scope, research, and ethical standards. The general manuscript preparation guidelines are provided below. More detailed instructions are available in the 📝 UBED Full-Text Manuscript Template.docx. Please review the template carefully. Manuscripts that are not submitted in accordance with the template will not be considered, and manuscripts that do not comply with the guidelines will be returned to the author(s) for revision.

• The main text should be written in Palatino Linotype. Headings should be 11-point and the main text 10-point.
• The text should be fully justified.
• After each new heading, the first line of each paragraph should be indented by 1.25 cm, and no additional spacing should be added.
• Paragraph spacing should be set to 0 pt before and 0 pt after, the alignment should be set to justified, and the style should be set to Body Text. One blank line should be left between paragraphs. Please make sure that paragraph spacing is set to 0 pt before and 0 pt after throughout the entire manuscript; otherwise, the space between paragraphs will become too large and disrupt the formatting of the manuscript.
• Line spacing should be set to 1.0.

APA 7 guidelines must be followed for both in-text citations and reference-list entries. Please review the most recent updates. For details, see the official APA 7 website.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Authors must upload the following six required files:

1- The 📝 UBED Tam Metin Dosyası-Şablonu.docx containing the Turkish and English abstracts and the main text;

2- The 📝 YENİ-UBED MAKALE BİLGİLERİ-BAŞLIK SAYFASI.docx  submitted as a supplementary file and containing the author(s)’ names, institutional affiliations, contact information, and information regarding whether the manuscript is based on a thesis, project, or conference presentation;

3- The 📄 UBED Copyright Form.pdf;

4- An Ethics Committee Approval Document for studies requiring ethics committee approval;

5- A Plagiarism/Similarity Report showing a similarity rate of no more than 25%; and

6- The 📝 UBED Yapay Zeka Kullanım Beyan Formu.docx 

Submission of the Plagiarism/Similarity Report at the initial submission stage is optional. However, if the manuscript is accepted for publication, authors are required to upload a Plagiarism/Similarity Report for the final, publication-ready version of the manuscript.
