MATHEMATICS TEACHERS' OPINIONS ABOUT STUDENT COURSE BOOK
Öz
In this study it was aimed to determine mathematics teachers’ views on student course
book. For this purpose qualitative research method which is one of the research methods was used. The study was
carried out within the scope of the special case study. The interview technique was used as data collection
instrument. In this context validity analysis were made and a semi-structured interview form consisting of 5
questions was prepared by the researcher. 15 elementary school mathematics teachers constitute the sample group
who has been teaching in different parts of Turkey, NVIVO software was used to analyze the interviews. According
to the results of analysis, the vast majority of teachers have the opinion that the textbook is inadequate in terms of
sample questions. Therefore it has reported that teachers benefit from different supportive sources except course
books.
