ANALYSIS IN THE FRAMEWORK OF READING AND UNDERSTANDING PROFITS OF THE 2015 TURKISH TEACHING PROGRAM FOR THE EXAMPLE OF PISA PUBLISHED BY MEB
Abstract
The fact that our country has not been able to achieve the desired success in the international examinations in recent years and moreover, the fact
that it is below the average of the OECD countries in all branches suggests that there are some disruptions in our education system. Among the
causes of failure in these examinations, it can be considered that the level of readiness of the students, teacher competencies and the achievements
in the applied curriculum are well variable. The aim of the study is to try to determine the overlap of the questions used to measure reading skills
in PISA with the achievements in the Turkish Curriculum. In this respect, the sample PISA reading questions that the Ministry of National
Education has published have been examined and the comments about the expected achievements in the Turkish Curriculum and the overlapping
of the achievements in the Turkish Curriculum have been made. This study compares the PISA Sample Skills Questions and the Turkish
Language Teaching Program of 2015 published by the Ministry of National Education in which the data were planned according to qualitative
research and the obtained data were collected by document analysis method and the findings were analyzed through descriptive analysis.
