İlköğretim 7. Sınıf Fen Bilgisi Dergisinde Öğrenme Halkası Yaklaşımının, Öğrencilerin Başarı ve Mantıksal Düşünme Yetenekleri Üzerine Etkisi

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı; ilköğretim 7. sınıf fen bilgisi dersinde öğrenme
halkası yaklaşımının, öğrencilerin başarı ve mantıksal düşünme yetenekleri
üzerine etkisini araştırmaktır. Araştırmada ön test-son test kontrol deseni
kullanılmıştır. Çalışma; 2004–2005 eğitim öğretim yılının ikinci döneminde,
Ankara ili Yenimahalle ilçesi Emniyetçiler İlköğretim okulunda yapılmıştır.
Bu okulun yedinci sınıflarında yapılan çalışma, aynı öğretmenin girdiği iki
farklı şubeden (A ve B) toplam 56 öğrencinin katılımı ile gerçekleştirilmiştir.
Toplanan verilerin istatistiksel olarak çözümlenmesinde SPSS paket
programından yararlanılmıştır. Çalışmanın hipotezlerini test etmek için ttesti
ve varyans analizi kullanılmıştır. Analiz sonuçları; öğrenme halkası
yaklaşımı ile öğrenim gören deney grubu öğrencilerinin ilgili ünitedeki
başarılarının, kontrol grubu öğrencilerine göre anlamlı derecede yüksek
olduğunu göstermiştir. Buna ilaveten, fen bilgisi dersinde öğrenme halkası
yaklaşımının uygulandığı deney grubu ile kontrol grubu öğrencilerinin,
mantıksal düşünme yetenekleri arasında deney grubu lehine anlamlı bir fark
vardır. Çalışmadan elde edilen bulgulara göre, ilköğretim fen bilgisi dersinde
öğrencilerin başarılarını arttırmak ve mantıksal düşünme yeteneklerini
geliştirmek için öğrenme halkası yaklaşımından yararlanılabilir.
