Investigation of Child Bride and Violence Against Women (Malazgirt Example)

Abstract

The main purpose of this research is to determine the age at marriage and exposure to psychological-physical violence during the marriage process of women in Malazgirt district. Data were collected by conducting a survey, one of the quantitative research methods. Data were collected face to face using a questionnaire. The data collected in the research were analyzed using the Microsoft Excel Program with frequency (f) and percentage (%) techniques. At the end of the analysis of the data, it can be said that a significant part of the women got married under the age of 18 and formed a structure with many children. It has been determined that almost half of the women have been subjected to violence by their family members, especially their spouses. Suggestions were presented in parallel with the results.

Çocuk Gelin ve Kadına Şiddet Durumunun İncelenmesi (Malazgirt Örneği)

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın temel amacı Malazgirt ilçesindeki kadınların evlenme yaşı ve evlilik sürecinde psikolojik-fiziksel şiddete maruz kalma durumlarının belirlenmesidir. Nicel araştırma yöntemlerinden tarama (survey) yapılarak veriler toplanmıştır. Veriler anket formu kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Araştırmada toplanan veriler Microsoft Excel Programı kullanılarak frekans (f) ve yüzde (%) teknikleri ile analiz edilmiştir. Verilerin analizi sonunda kadınların önemli bir bölümünün 18 yaşının altında evlendiği ve çok çocuklu oldukları söylenebilir. Kadınların neredeyse yarısının eşleri başta olmak üzere aile üyelerinden şiddet gördüğü belirlenmiştir. Sonuçların doğrultusunda öneriler sunulmuştur.
