KOBİ’lerde Eş Zamanlı Mühendislik: Otomotiv Tedarikçi Sektöründe Bir Uygulama

Abstract
Rekabetçi avantaj kazanmak isteyen firmalar kısa yaşam döngülerine ayak uydurarak yeni ürün geliştirmeyi hızlı, ucuz ve yüksek kalite ile gerçekleştirmek zorundadır. Klasik yaklaşımlarda ardışık tasarım iteratif problemlere yol açmaktadır. Bu sebeple büyük firmalar farklı bölümlerin birlikte çalışmasıyla katma değer oluşturmak için eş zamanlı mühendisliği uygulamaktadırlar. Ancak günümüzde üretim, hatta ürün geliştirme çoğunluğu KOBİ’lerden oluşan tedarik zincirine dağılmış durumdadır. KOBİ’ler gerek kümelenmelerde kendi ürünleri için birlikte çalışırken, gerekse büyük firmalara hizmet ve ürün tedarik ederken kıt kaynak, sınırlı kapasite ve KOBİ’lere özel yönlendirici metot eksikliği sebebi ile eş zamanlı mühendislik uygulamalarını gerçekleştirememektedir. Bu ihtiyaçtan yola çıkılarak, etkinleştirici bir yöntem olarak eş zamanlı mühendisliğin KOBİ’lerde uygulanması araştırılmış ve bütünleşmiş/ yenilikçi eş zamanlı mühendislik modeli geliştirilmiştir. Akabinde geliştirilen modelin Türkiye’de otomotiv sektöründe faaliyet gösteren bir KOBİ’de gerçekleştirilen uygulama örneği başarılı bir şekilde gösterilmiştir.

Abstract
Companies have to adopt short product life cycles and realize new product development with high quality in a fast and economic manner to gain competitive advantage. In classical approaches the sequential design logic causes iterative problems that large companies’ various departments gather and work together, applying concurrent engineering to achieve added value. However, production and even product development is distributed to the supply chain, which is mainly constituted by SMEs. There is mainly a lack of resources and capacities that SMEs cannot apply concurrent engineering, while they develop products across clusters or within supply chains. This problem is further intensified by the missing of a specific guide for concurrent engineering suitable for SMEs. Motivated with this need an Integrated/ Innovative Concurrent Engineering Model for SMEs was developed, which is further demonstrated successfully with an illustrative example made in a Turkish SME in the automotive sector.
