Determining the Occupational and Future Anxiety of Karabuk University Nursing 4th Grade Students: A Qualitative Study
Abstract
Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate the occupational and future anxiety of the 4th grade students of the nursing department. Methods: In the study, qualitative research design was used. In the research, in which purposive sampling method was used, semi-structured in-depth interviews were conducted with 15 students. Qualitative data were obtained by a voice recorder. Content analysis and descriptive analysis were used to analyze the data. Results: After analyzing the data, 2 main themes and 5 sub-themes were obtained. The themes that emerged as a result of the research, occupational view and the future view. Conclusions: It has been determined that the students experience many feelings about post-graduation at the same time and the majority of them are anxious about their post-graduation life. It is thought that determining the thoughts of the students about the profession and the future will be useful in terms of better recognizing and addressing the problems experienced by the students.

Abstract
Amaç: Araştırmanın amacı, hemşirelik bölümü 4. sınıf öğrencilerinin meslek ve gelecek kaygılarının belirlenmesidir. Gereç ve Yöntem: Araştırmada nitel araştırma deseni kullanılmıştır. Amaçlı örnekleme yönteminin kullanıldığı araştırmada 15 öğrenci ile yarı yapılandırılmış derinlemesine görüşmeler yapılmıştır. Nitel veriler ses kayıt cihazına kaydedilerek elde edilmiştir. Verilerinin çözümlenmesinde içerik analizi ve betimsel analiz kullanılmıştır. Bulgular: Verilerin analiz edilmesinin ardından 2 ana tema ve 5 alt tema elde edilmiştir. Araştırmanın sonucunda ortaya çıkan temalar; mesleğe bakış ve geleceğe bakış olmuştur. Sonuç: Öğrencilerin mezuniyet sonrasına ilişkin birçok duyguyu aynı anda yaşadıkları ve büyük çoğunluğunun mezuniyet sonrası yaşamlarına ilişkin kaygılı oldukları belirlenmiştir. Öğrencilerin mesleğe ve geleceğe yönelik düşüncelerin belirlenmesinin öğrencilerin yaşadıkları sorunların daha iyi tanınması ve ele alınabilmesi açısından faydalı olacağı düşünülmektedir.
