Located in the Mediterranean Region on the western side of Mersin, Mut is 165 km away from Mersin. Mut has always been on the foreground due to the historical artifacts. The city, has a history extending to the Hittite times. Since the connection between Central Anatolia and the Mediterranean region is provided via Mut via the Sertavul Pass, Many civilizations have settled in this area since prehistoric times. This region, which hosts multiple civilizations, is an important location. The seven bridges under study carry traces of the Karamanoğulları period. Today most of these bridges are closed to vehicle traffic.
In this age of civilization for the road and bridge, it is very important for our national culture and ourselves to repair, protect and live our historical bridges as a document. The bridges that connect people, animals and even goods must be as important and valuable as forming a bridge heart.
